Unlock PixLite® potential with SHOWTime™
Free with any Advatek PixLite® Mk3 product
SHOWTime™ is a built-in feature set included with every PixLite® Mk3 controller. It enables the controller to operate autonomously by recording lighting data from third-party control systems and playing it back directly from a user-supplied industrial microSD card installed in the controller. All recorded content, playlists, and triggers are accessed and managed through the PixLite® Mk3 web-based user interface.
SHOWTime™ works like an advanced tape recorder for lighting. Live pixel and DMX512 data from lighting consoles, media servers, or pixel-mapping software can be recorded as scenes, organized into playlists, and replayed locally by the controller. Playback is initiated through the SHOWTime™ Dashboard, external triggers or on boot, removing the need for a permanently connected lighting controller, media server, or dedicated playback device.
Because SHOWTime™ is fully embedded within the PixLite® Mk3 platform, it requires no additional licensing and no separate record or playback hardware. It’s well suited to permanent installations and simpler applications where a combined pixel controller, recorder, and control interface in a single device reduces system complexity and cost. SHOWTime™ can be configured as a fallback mode that automatically plays pre-recorded scenes if live Art-Net or sACN data is unavailable.
SHOWTime™ records and plays back content directly to pixel outputs and DMX512 via the Aux Port, providing a reliable, device-level solution for autonomous lighting playback while maintaining the same configuration workflow used for live operation.
Frame-perfect Recordings using start and stop conditions. Pixel and Aux Port data are recorded independently, with automatic frame rates. SHOWTime™ also allows you to monitor frame rates during record and playback.
With Playback, Mk3 devices can add recorded and built-in scenes to playlists and use triggers to playback a customized show.
Configure actions with triggers such as initializing a playlist on device startup, or starting a recording when an Art-Net channel equals a certain value. The possibilities are endless. Unlock the ability to create up to 25 powerful triggers per Mk3 device with SHOWTime™.
Drive live intensity of outputs with Intensity control, by configuring an external channel. Create triggers to program the intensity to a specific value and override or prioritize live intensity, allowing for flexible and powerful control.
SHOWTime™ Dashboard enables playback and device mode selection. Rearrange and configure your layout, and add custom branding for quick and personalised control.
